Sleeping

Rooms with a desk by the window

The house has 17 bedrooms. Nearly all are larger than 20 m², furnished with antique pieces, a double bed and a desk by the window. The group allocates the rooms itself; there is no fixed room list.

Almost every room has its own bathroom; there are 13 in total, with shower or tub. Anyone arriving with small children will find two cots and two high chairs in the house, both at no extra charge.

Bed linen and towels cost 12 euros per person. Bring your own and you save that.

Ground floor

Kitchen, hall, lake terrace

The layout of the main floor still follows the old order: formal towards the lake, practical towards the yard.

The large kitchen

Built for catering to groups, with several fridges, long worktops and a table in the middle for chopping. Cooking for thirty people needs exactly that.

Eating and sitting

Several rooms with long tables are spread across the ground floor. Breakfast in a small group works just as well as dinner with everyone at one table.

The “Gustav Vasa” ballroom

250 m² with a direct exit onto the lake terrace. The special feature is the built-in gallery above the hall, used for speeches, music and performances. Theatre groups book the house regularly for rehearsal weekends because stage and auditorium are already there.

Upper floor and basement

The rooms for late evenings

Once the hall is cleared, the group spreads out. Upstairs to the billiards, downstairs to the bar.

TV lounge with billiards

Second floor, balcony included. The billiard table stands in the middle of the room, sofas and armchairs around it.

Bar, table football, chess room

The basement has its own bar with stools, a club room with TV and stereo for around 15 people, a table football table and a quiet room where only chess is played. The utility room holds a washing machine and dryer.

The annexe

A gymnasium left over from the school years

From 1951 to 2004 the manor house held a comprehensive school. The roughly 500 m² hall next door dates from that time. Today it is part of the rental: parquet floor, climbing wall and ropes, indoor football, basketball, handball, table tennis, darts. Dance groups have rehearsed here. On rainy days it decides whether a family holiday with children turns into a good day.

The heated annexe continues into the spa area. The indoor pool measures 32 m² and is kept at 24 to 26 degrees all year. There is also a Finnish sauna, a solarium and showers.

  • Sports hall available all year at no extra cost
  • Pool and sauna for your group only
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the manor house
  • Ten free parking spaces on the grounds
  • Swing, sandpit, benches and sun loungers in the garden
  • Garden furniture and parasols on the terrace
  • Large freezer in the kitchen and a place to clean fish

Horses

Bring your own horse

The Dörk stables are right next door. By arrangement and for a small fee you can stable your horse there. The tracks into the open fields start behind the village, and there is barely any traffic.

Riding groups should enquire early so that the stalls can be reserved in good time.
